Timber sleepers are typically used on the railway to level and secure the tracks. Once their lifespan on the tracks has come to an end they are surplus to Network Rail’s requirements and must be taken off. At Jim Wise, we make use of these sleepers and reclaim them in order to prolong their usage. We have a huge stock of tanalised railway sleepers fit for a range of purposes. Railway sleepers are also full of history and are bound to be an excellent piece for your garden or other areas of your home.

We stock reclaimed and even new treated sleepers and can sell up to 250 at one time. Our stock consists of various grades and sizes so there is plenty of availability. Due to their size and weight, they are commonly used for retaining walls, sleeper bays, edgings and even vegetable patches. Railway sleepers can be used in many creative ways and many of our customers have gone on to use them to produce some amazing garden decor.
